1974 Cluster idea originally formed by Donald Stork, Rick Shepard & Glenn Stell
1978 Travelled to Des Moines, Iowa and Louisville, Kentucky to meet with a group of agents who had already formed clusters
2/15/1979 A formal computer operating agreement between the original 3-S members (Beaumont & Stork Inc., Henry, Shepard, Smith Inc., and Elmer E Stell & Sons Inc.) and the Continental Insurance Company.
2/18/1983 3-S Agencies Inc. was legally formed at 136 Main Street, Penn Yan NY.
The original directors were James D. Stork, President; Donald L. Stork, Secretary; and Glenn & Edwin Stell Directors
4/12/1983 Original issue stock for Beaumont & Stork Inc., Elmer E. Stell & Sons Inc., and Henry, Shepard, Smith Inc.
12/29/1983 Martin R. Schneider Inc. added as the fourth member
1/21/1985 Cotton - Sullivan Agency, Inc added as the fifth member
4/10/1985 E.C. Cooper Inc. added as the sixth member
4/11/1985 Henry, Shepard, Smith Inc. no longer a member of 3-S
6/26/1989 Gerard P. Smith Agency Inc. added as the seventh member
5/24/1990 Martin R. Schneider Inc. purchased the Cotton - Sullivan Agency, Inc.
9/11/1990 Egbert F. Ashley Co. Inc. added as the eigth member
1/14/1992 Elmer E. Stell & Sons no longer a member of 3-S
1/26/1993 Long Agency, Inc. added as the ninth member
1/9/1995 P.W. Wood & Son, Inc. added as the tenth member
